name is Akiva Penaloza and we just came home from the Newfest Film Festival
here in New York City after viewing your film in the shorts category.
I’m a fellow filmmaker and I have to say that your film was absolutely
beautiful. The story, the actors, the location, the color and tone, the
theme — I am so impressed. The story moved me deeply and left me wanting
to slip into that world, that time and place, and be a part of that deep
longing.
So I had to send you my praises, and those of my partner Joan, because when
I see a film I love I feel the need to reach out and let you know that you
